What a cool product! We got the 2xxl. It's so big and so beautiful! It took a bit of work to put up, roughly 4-5 hours. I've caught myself stopping at that wall and looking at the map and learning new places. It was a purchase and project that I'm proud of.
Really well designed and manufactured. The instruction leaflet was poorly printed and it was difficult to read the numbers for the templates. The map looks great.

Great for curious children — placing the flags on countries helps them learn and remember (and not only for kids, adults too 😅). Useful and beautiful.

We love our map. I don't know what was more fun, putting it all together or looking at the map itself. Me and my wife had such a great time putting this on the wall. Did it slowly over 2 days. Now every time someone mentions a place in conversation we find it on the map. Just be sure to measure carefully because I would order one size larger if I could do it again.
Sehr wertige Umsetzung des Weltkartenthemas. Es gibt mittlerweile einige Anbieter, aber hier ist die Verarbeitung und das Finishing perfekt. Grade in Regionen, in denen viele kleiner Länder aufeinander treffen wirkt der 3D Effekt spektakulär. Der Druck ist informativ (Flüsse, Länder, Städte), aber dezent umgesetzt, sodass nichts überfrachtet wirkt.
Die Kartenprojektion ist etwas eigenwillig und erinnert etwas an die Mercator-Projektion. Wer aber z.B. mal über die Drake Passage gefahren ist, wird sich wundern, wie weit plötzlich der Weg nach King George Island ist. Auch ist Südamerika überraschend klein. Aber - es ist ja ein Deko-Element und nicht zur Navigation oder für den Einsatz im Erdkundeunterricht vorgesehen.
Der Aufbau gelingt mit den Schablonen ganz gut, zur präzisieren Ausrichtung von Afrika hätte ich mir noch eine kleine Schablone für den Abstand an der Straße von Gibraltar gewünscht, aber mit etwas Augenmaß geht das.
Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es an Teil 2 der Schablone. hier suggeriert eine gestrichelte Linie, dass es sich um die Motivmitte handelt. Diese ist aber etwas weiter Links (zumindest nach Aussage der Aufbauanleitung). Die Zeichnung auf der Anleitung könnte auch gern deutlich größer sein, oder als PDF online bereitgestellt werden. Das ist alles schon recht winzig. Auch fehlt die Angabe zur vertikalen Mitte. Die lässt sich beim Positionieren der Schablonen zu Start nur erahnen.
Insgesamt aber eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
